Vernon Town Offices

On behalf of the Town of Vernon, I'm delighted that you have found our community's website!
J. Randall Watson, Supervisor

Hello Town of Vernon Residents,

This is the start of my fourth year serving the residents of Vernon and I am happy to say with good partnership of the Town Board, the Town has successfully passed budgets without any tax increase during my entire time as Supervisor.

I would like to commend the Town of Vernon Highway Department on doing an amazing job of keeping our roads in excellent condition during this challenging winter. This year it seems like we have had a lot more ice than years past and I couldn’t be prouder of the guys in keeping our roads safe.

I am excited to let you all know that we are progressing with the Vernon Center Water Project. I know it may seem like its taking forever but we are still moving forward. Congressman Anthony Brindisi has reached out to the Town and has vowed to help the Town however he can in securing grants for the project. For those of you in the Vernon Center Water Project area, an independent survey company has mailed you a survey. It is dire that you complete and mail it back in the self- addressed stamped envelope. This part of the process will help us to qualify for funding.
Below I have listed some of the Town’s accomplishments this past year.

1. Elmwood Place Bridge has been successfully repainted.
2. We received grants to replace the roof on the Town Office Building and to repair interior for mold removal along with new paint and carpets. Please stop in to see the fresh new look.
3. The Highway Department was given a grant to purchase a new plow truck, we expect to have the truck by mid- summer.

Last but not least I would like to acknowledge every employee and every elected official at the Town for doing an outstanding job year round. We have been very fortunate with our employees, we are more like family than co-workers.

Please know my door is always open. I do work a full time job in addition to being Town Supervisor; however I can be reached at 315 829-2985 and will do my best to continue to return calls in a timely manner.

Hope you and your families have a safe and healthy year!

Randy Watson
Supervisor, Town of Vernon
